Selecting the Maintain Compatibility option allows the template to keep the Word 2007 format. If the option is not selected the template is saved in the Word 2010 format, and you cannot re-save it in any other format again because the option is not available the next time you save it using Save as. For our customers using Excel 2010 or higher with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 or earlier, Jet Reports recommends the 32-bit editions of MS Office. The version of SQL Server must be supported by the operating system being used.

Imagine this scenario: you have created a presentation within PowerPoint 2010 and are ready to share it, but you are still unsure that your clientwith an earlier version of PowerPoint will be able to view and edit the presentation with the exact options that you have available. And if you savethis presentation as a file compatible with an earlier version of PowerPoint, there are chances that you could lose the characteristics that were notavailable in previous version. Or worse, your editable content could just change to flat, non-editable pictures!
For example, you may want to ensure that you can open your PowerPoint 2010 presentation in an older version such as PowerPoint 2003 or even earlierversions. There are many features that are not functional in older versions. For example, the shape effects in PowerPoint 2010 (such as reflection andglow) appear as pictures in earlier versions of PowerPoint. And, if a video is embedded (instead of being linked), the video clip will appear as apicture! To avoid these problems, you can run the Compatibility Checker in PowerPoint 2010 which finds potential compatibility issuesbetween PowerPoint 2010 and earlier versions of PowerPoint, and creates a report to help you resolve any issues.
Before we explain further, do note that this Compatibility Checker option in PowerPoint 2010 only checks for compatibility issues with older Windowsversions of PowerPoint and has no similar option to check for consistencies with PowerPoint for Mac versions.
Here are some guidelines you must consider before you use the Check Compatibility feature:
a. PowerPoint 2010 does not support saving to PowerPoint 95 or earlier file formats.
c. When you work on a presentation in compatibility mode, where the presentation is saved in PowerPoint 97-2003 file format instead of the newPowerPoint file format (.pptx), the

Compatibility Checker runs automatically when you save your presentation. Also, many commands thatwould create incompatible content are disabled.Follow these steps to explore the Check Compatibility feature inPowerPoint 2010: My chrome browser.
- Launch PowerPoint, and open any existing presentation for which you want to run the Check Compatibility feature. If you made anychanges to your slides, do save your presentation before you proceed further.
- Access the File menu, and choose the Info option to get toBackstage view, as shown in Figure 1. Thereafter,select the Check for Issues option to bring up a small drop-down menu (see Figure 1 again). From the drop-down menuselect the Check Compatibility option, highlighted in red with Figure 1.

- Click the OK button to close the dialog box and return to the presentation. Make changes as required to make your presentationmore compatible, run the Compatibility Checker again to determine if those issues have been resolved.
- Save your presentation often.

Compatibility Mode is a feature in Office 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007 that allows you to open and edit older Office documents such as .doc, .ppt, and .xls files. Opening any of these types of documents in an Office 2016, 2013, 2010, or 2007 application will activate the Compatibility Mode automatically. If you make changes to your old document and save them, the document will save as the old format.
If you are viewing a document in Compatibility Mode, you can easily convert the document to 2016, 2013, 2010, or 2007 (.docx) so that you can use the newest features that those versions offer. However, when you convert a document to 2016, 2013, 2010, or 2007, users who try to open the file in older versions (Office 93-2003) will not be able to use all of the new features.
To make the document fully readable in older versions of Office, you must save the 2016/2013/2010/2007 file in Compatibility Mode by saving it as a Word 97-2003 Document.
Note:
Adobe premiere free plugins mac. Office 2007 and 2010 use the same document formats (i.e., .docx, .xlsx, .pptx). If you open a 2007 file in 2010, Compatibility Mode will activate. If you open a 2016 or 2013 file in 2010, you may receive an error telling you that some features are not available if the file was created with 2016 or 2013 only features.
